- Being a director is not ONLY to attend a meeting and collect a fee;
- Directors cannot say "I did not Know";
- Directors meetings cannot be reduced to "page-turn" meetings;
- Board is not a tick-box (e.g. just filling a vacancy);
- Board packs must not be read few hours or days before the meeting;
- Board not about money or status BUT a "calling" / serving the nation/s;
- Not researching and/or comparing the company with its peers and requesting answers from executive directors;
- Not understanding finances and business principles;
- Not fully understanding the significant financial movements;
- Director not being part of the decision making.
